YAKLOM ANGKOR LODGE, Siem Reap-Angkor

where northeast meets northwest

Stay in  Private Cottage

Situated in the quiet area in the heart of Siem Reap town, our 10 private cottages are nestled in the lush tropical garden. If you would like staying amidst the greenery, but still in the heart of  Siem Reap town, Yaklom Angkor Lodge is probably your best choice at this range of accommodation for your visit to Angkor.

Yaklom Angkor Lodge is located on the eastern side of Siem Reap river and just about 200 meters from the royal residence and the city park. In fact, our place is within walking distance to everywhere in the town.

Facilities/Features

Inspired by the house of hilltribe people in the northeast Cambodia, each cottage was built  separately on stilt from the ground. A  room of each cottage features : two 1.2m beds, full air conditioning, well stocked refrigerator, multi-channel cable TV, private bathroom with hot water shower, and private terrace with fan. Some reading materials are provided in-room to give you some introductions to Cambodia and the temples of Angkor. A combination of some of Khmer handicraft and hilltribe decors is used in decorating the room.

Our garden restaurant -Sawasdee Food Garden- offers authentic traditional Thai cuisine during lunch and dinner. Guests of Yaklom Angkor Lodge are entitled to 10 per cent discount when having meals in our restaurant. The restaurant also serves western breakfast from 6.30 a.m. onward in the morning. Please visit the restaurant webpage for more information and our colorful pictorial menu.  Please note that continental breakfast is included in the room rates for Yaklom Angkor Lodge's guests.

As all our cottage rooms are twin-bedded rooms (i.e. each room has 2 single beds), guests who require a double bed  (i.e. 1 big bed in the room) may like the 2 beds joined. Please let us know in your reservation so that our staff can arrange accordingly.  Please also inform us in your reservation if an extra bed is required. This extra bed is subject to charge. (See room rates below.)

Getting to our place and some tips

-If you arrive Siem Reap by plane and already provided arrival details to us with your reservation/confirmation, our staff or driver should be waiting for you in front of the respective arrival hall showing the sign of our place's name with your name on it. In this case, you may not need to contact taxi stand at the arrival hall. After completing immigration formality and collecting luggages, please proceed straight to the front of the arrival hall. Our staff will be among the hotel/travel agent crew holding the sign of our place with your name.

-If you arrive Siem Reap by boat from Phnom Penh or Battambang and request for pick up, our staff will be waiting for you at the Siem Reap boat dock at Chong Khneas by the Tonle Sap lake. (We would appreciate if you could provide beforehand the name of the boat company you will travel with, as the arrival time may be different from the others.) Please be seriously noted  that the Siem Reap boat dock may be quite messed up with many people, as there is normally a lot of hassles, and touts running around boat passengers/tourists. Please make sure you approach our staff who holds the properly made sign with your name, and not just a piece of paper. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE SAYING THAT OUR PLACE IS CLOSED, FULL, TOO FAR, DIRTY, RE-LOCATED, VERY BAD or whatsoever, as these people try to get you to the guesthouse/hotel from which they can charge commission.

-If you arrive in Siem Reap by taxi or bus from Bangkok or Poi Pet (the Thai-Cambodian border), please insist the driver to drop you at our place. Some bus companies will drop (sell) tourist passengers to the guesthouse/hotel they have agreed with for the commission. If you are dropped off somewhere in town and want to be picked up, please call us at Tel: 012-983510, 063-964456, or 063-380199, and we will send our car to pick you up. To find our place by yourself, please check in the map at : www.canbypublications.com/maps/srmapmain.htm   Our place is located on the eastern (right) side of the Siem Reap river, on the second street from the river (Wat Bo street) just 50 m north of National Route Number 6 (Sawasdee & Yaklom).

-If you arrive Siem Reap by bus from Phnom Penh, or Kampong Cham or Kratie;  please let us know by phone (more preferred) or by email (well beforehand) the name of bus company and your approximate time of arrival so that we can arrange for pick up at the bus station. (Normally, public buses from Phnom Penh/Kampong Cham have regular drop off points at the main bus station east of Siem Reap town.)
